About the En Garde!
En Garde! puts you in storybook Spain as Adalia de Volador, a swordswoman who embarrasses tyrants and duels clumsy guards in third-person swashbuckling action. The tone is playful and theatrical — painted backdrops, quick banter.
Combat is stylish fencing. You parry, riposte, lunge. It all fills a Panache Meter you spend on flashy skills. Improvised moves and environmental tricks help you outwit groups, while shifting enemy mixes and quickfire quips keep encounters fresh.
Positioning matters. What you dodge, where you stand, what you grab — each choice sets the fight's rhythm. Wit and blade-work hold equal weight here. Finesse pays off, and nerve alone won't carry you.
What is the En Garde! key?
Steam game key is an official activation code. Activate it on the platform after purchase to add the game to your account.
Two ways to go. Self-activation puts the game right into your library. The standard route hands you the key to activate yourself according to the activation guide.
En Garde! Review
Parries feel sharp, but environmental kills pack the real punch—barrels, chandeliers, anything loose. The art's lively, the score's bouncy, the tone stays light throughout. The campaign runs short and episodic, enemy types start repeating before you've really settled in, and depth runs thin overall.
