Zenless Zone Zero 3.0 New Agents
Velina (S Rank)
Velina is a Wind Slash Agent who functions as an Anomaly DPS, specializing in Wind Anomaly buildup and triggering the new Vortex status effect. As the first-ever Wind Anomaly Agent in Zenless Zone Zero, she pioneers an entirely new elemental playstyle built around her signature resource, Windbloom, and a strong defensive identity.
Velina builds Anomaly through her Basic Attack: Dancing Fans chain and her Special Attack line, with the 5th hit of her Basic Attack reducing DMG taken by 40%, making her surprisingly durable for an Anomaly character. Her core loop runs through EX Special Attack: Wind Shear - Purifying Rise, which dodges backward before unleashing a massive wind blast. Successfully dodging an enemy attack during this skill triggers Vital View, her key personal buff window. From there, she can chain directly into EX Special Attack: Wind Shear - Triple Deathblow, a follow-up with massive Anomaly buildup that flows seamlessly back into her Basic Attack chain.
Once Velina accumulates 90 or more Windbloom, she can unleash EX Special Attack: Wind Shear - Eye of the Storm, summoning a Sweeping Cyclone that attacks nearby enemies every 0.5s for 5 seconds while triggering the previous character's Quick Assist, giving her strong off-field potential and team synergy. Her Defensive Assist: Judicious Intervention parries incoming attacks for massive Daze, leading into Assist Follow-Up: Negotiation Techniques for additional Wind DMG.
Her Chain Attack: Thousandfold Spiral transforms her into a hurricane for a powerful finisher, while her Ultimate: Heed the Tempest unleashes a devastating Wind DMG attack and again triggers the previous character's Quick Assist, letting Velina act as both the main Anomaly damage dealer and a powerful team enabler.
Norma (S Rank)
Norma is a Fire Stun Agent who functions as a sub-DPS Stunner, specializing in Daze accumulation and large Fire DMG numbers through her unique turret-based playstyle. Her gameplay revolves around managing her Preheated Chamber resource and her ever-present companion device, Top Hat Companion.
Norma builds Preheated Chamber at 1.5% per second while on-field, with the resource transferring seamlessly between her and Top Hat Companion when thrown out or recalled. Her Basic Attack: Hat Trick lets her launch the Top Hat Companion to unleash aerial fire and trigger the previous character's Quick Assist every 5s, allowing Norma to contribute meaningful damage even while off-field. When she switches off-field with non-full Preheated Chamber, Top Hat Companion automatically takes over the battlefield in her place.
Her core damage tool is EX Special Attack: En-Nah Barrage, which fires different missile types based on the enemy's state, Armor-Piercing Warheads for unstunned targets (massive Daze) and High-Explosive Warheads for stunned ones (greater Fire DMG). After activation, she deploys two En-Nah Turrets for a 32-second En-Nah Barrage state, with the duration extendable by holding the input. Her Special Attack: Target Practice keeps the turrets auto-firing throughout the fight, and EX Special Attack: Explosive Experiment triggers when teammates Stun enemies or when Norma uses a Chain Attack, boosting turret fire rate and adding extra missile salvos.
Her Chain Attack: Impact Drill calls in a swarm of Rumble Drills for massive Fire DMG, while her Ultimate: Doctrine of Superior Firepower brings down tactical artillery and instantly grants 30% Preheated Chamber on activation. With strong off-field damage, generous Quick Assist triggers, and reliable Daze accumulation, Norma functions as a hybrid Stunner who keeps pressure on enemies whether she's on or off the battlefield.
Pyrois (S Rank)
Pyrois is an Ether Attack Agent who functions as a Main DPS, being the combat form of Phaethon themselves rather than a standalone character. Their gameplay centers around managing Solar Prominence, their signature resource, and choosing between four different Ultimates that each define a completely separate playstyle.
Pyrois builds Solar Prominence at 0.5 per second passively and through hitting enemies, capped at 60. With 30 or more Solar Prominence stored, their Basic Attack: Emberglow transforms into Basic Attack: Celestial Light, an enhanced four-hit chain with massive Ether DMG. Notably, when switched off-field during the 3rd hit, Pyrois automatically performs the 4th hit from off-field, adding a strong off-field damage layer. Their core loop also features EX Special Attack: Sun's Halo, a charged rush with a built-in Perfect Block effect that nullifies incoming damage.
The defining feature of Pyrois's kit is the four branch Ultimate system. Total Annihilation (Upper) enters the Mirage state, boosting Ultimate CRIT DMG by 40% against Stunned enemies. Triumphant Return (Lower) enters the Sunflare state, granting 15% Energy Generation Rate and 40% increased DMG for 200s. Unbound Swordstorm (Left) makes heavy attacks deal 900% of ATK as additional DMG against enemies in the Contamination state. Eternal Imprisonment (Right) makes heavy attacks deal 2,250% of ATK against Stunned enemies and extends Stun duration by 3 seconds. Each Ultimate effectively reshapes Pyrois into a different DPS archetype.
Their Core Passive: Radiant Chariot ties the entire kit together. Granting 30 Solar Prominence upon entering battle and powering all the branch effects above. Their Additional Ability: Glorious Legion rewards running a Stun or Support teammate. Granting Pyrois 40% increased CRIT DMG and 300 Decibels whenever a Chain Attack is used, making them a powerful flex DPS who can adapt their playstyle to whatever team composition the Proxy chooses.
