Mortefi Gameplay and Playstyle
Mortefi is a 4★ Fusion Sub-DPS and Pistols user who specializes in coordinated attacks and Heavy Attack amplification. His kit centers on generating Coordinated Attacks through his Resonance Liberation, allowing him to deal consistent Fusion damage while remaining off the field. Mortefi briefly rotates in to use his Resonance Skill and Resonance Liberation, then swaps out to trigger his Outro Skill, which grants a powerful Heavy Attack DMG Buff to the next character. With low field-time requirements and strong synergy with Heavy Attack resonators, he functions primarily as a subDPS, fitting best into teams that revolve around charged or Heavy Attack-focused tams.
Mortefi Skill Priority
Skill
Priority
Reason
Resonance Liberation
★★★★★ (Top)
Mortefi’s core ability and main source of off-field damage. Enables coordinated attacks that trigger consistently while he is off the field, making it his most impactful upgrade.
Forte Circuit
★★★★★ (Top)
Directly enhances the damage and effectiveness of his coordinated attacks. Higher levels significantly improve his sustained off-field DPS.
Resonance Skill
★★★ (High)
A key setup skill that helps generate Energy and supports his rotation before activating Liberation. Important, but secondary to Liberation and Forte.
Basic Attack
★ (Low)
Rarely used in actual rotations since Mortefi spends minimal time on-field. Provides little value compared to his core skills.
Intro Skill
★ (Low)
This skill deals scarce damage, making investment unnecessary.
Mortefi Best Weapons
Mortefi focuses on providing consistent off-field Fusion damage and enabling Heavy Attack resonators through his Outro Skill. To maximize his value as a sub-DPS enabler, you’ll want weapons that improve Energy Regen to maintain high Resonance Liberation uptime, increase ATK or CRIT stats to strengthen his coordinated attacks. Below are some recommended weapons that synergize well with Mortefi’s off-field, damage-amplifying playstyle.

Mortefi Best Echo Stats
Here are the best Echo main stats and sub-stats for Mortefi.
During Resonance Liberation Burning Rhapsody, Mortefi launches Coordinated Attacks when the on-field character performs their Resonance Skills, firing 2 Resonance Liberation's Marcato hits, dealing Fusion DMG.
Adds extra damage to his Ultimate, but most of Mortefi’s best teammates do not rely heavily on Resonance Skills, limiting its overall impact.
S2: Hypocritical Hymn
Rating: ★★★★★ Best
After using the Echo Skill, Mortefi restores an additional 10 Resonance Energy. This can be triggered once every 20s.
Improves energy consistency and works well with the Empyrean Anthem set, but is not essential if Energy Regen is already sufficient.
S3: Flaming Recitativo
Rating - ★★★★ Good
During Resonance Liberation Burning Rhapsody, the Crit. DMG of Resonance Liberation's Marcato is increased by 30%.
A strong damage upgrade that reduces reliance on CRIT DMG substats, though it still requires adequate CRIT Rate to be effective.
S4: Cathartic Waltz
Rating: ★★★★★ Best
The duration of Resonance Liberation Burning Rhapsody is extended by 7s.
His most impactful upgrade dramatically increases coordinated attack uptime and reduces downtime between Ultimate casts.
S5: Funerary Quartet
Rating: ★★★ Good
When Resonance Skill Fury Fugue hits a target, 4 Resonance Liberation's Marcato hits will be fired, dealing Fusion Damage. DMG of Resonance Liberation's Marcato fired in this way is reduced by 50%.
Provides extra hits but does not meaningfully improve Mortefi’s main role as a sub-DPS buffer, making it low priority.
S6: Apoplectic Instrumental
Rating: ★★★★★ Best
When Resonance Liberation Violent Finale is cast, ATK of all team members is increased by 20% for 20s.
A strong buff that enhances Mortefi’s team utility, stacking on top of his existing buffs and coordinated damage.
