Wuthering Waves 3.5 New Characters
Yangyang: Xuanling (5★)
Xuanling is a Havoc Sword Main DPS who specializes in Heavy Attack DMG and Havoc Bane application. Her gameplay revolves around cycling between two stances, Azure Sword Stance and Feather Sword Stance, to build resources and unleash powerful attacks that count as Heavy Attack DMG.
Xuanling builds Melody through her Basic Attacks in both stances. Once Melody runs out, she can cast Sword Stance Flow, which switches her stance, refills all Melody, and grants 1 point of Azure Plume. Once Azure Plume reaches its maximum, she can unleash Heavy Attack - Azure Sword Stance or Heavy Attack - Feather Sword Stance, both dealing massive Havoc Heavy Attack DMG. Casting Heavy Attack - Azure Sword Stance grants Bated Breath, boosting the Crit. DMG of that attack by 160%. Casting Heavy Attack - Feather Sword Stance grants Streaming Storm, boosting the Crit. DMG of her next Heavy Attack - Feather Sword Stance, Mid-air Attack - Feather Fall, Basic Attack - Havoc in Bloom, or Dodge Counter - Havoc in Bloom by 160% - all of which also count as Heavy Attack DMG. Her Forte Circuit also includes Refrain, which automatically spreads the highest Havoc Bane stack count on any nearby target to all other targets in range before her Stage 4 Basic Attacks and Heavy Attacks hit.
Her Resonance Liberation Hush of a Thousand Voices spends all Melody to deal a massive Havoc Heavy Attack hit, instantly raises Havoc Bane stacks to the maximum on every target hit, and grants Voice upon Voice, causing the next Sword Stance Flow to summon Shadow of Xuanling for a bonus Heavy Attack DMG hit.
Xuanling's damage scales with Havoc Bane stacks on her target. Her Inherent Skill Unbroken Vow amplifies her damage by up to 30% at 1-3 stacks and up to 36% at 4-6 stacks. She can apply Havoc Bane on her own through her Basic Attacks, Intro Skill, and Liberation, but when teammates also apply Havoc Bane, she builds Windbound stacks. At 6 stacks, Feather Release: Xuanling is triggered, applying 6 Havoc Bane stacks at once for a quick reset. On swap, her Outro Skill As the Wind Wills grants Tonal Switch to all teammates for 20s, amplifying their Havoc DMG by 20% the next time they inflict Havoc Bane.
Suisui (5★)
Suisui is a Glacio Rectifier Healer and Support, specializing in sustained healing, Glacio Chafe application, and team DMG Amplification. Her gameplay revolves around cycling between two stances, Zephyr Stance and Drizzle Stance, to build resources and deliver increasingly powerful buffs for the team.
In Zephyr Stance, Suisui builds Cloud Breath through Basic Attacks, Dodge Counters, and successful dodges. Once Cloud Breath is full, she casts Awakening Spring, which pulls in nearby enemies, applies Glacio Chafe, and grants nearby teammates Enrichment. Her Intro Skill Tinkling Jade also applies Glacio Chafe and grants Enrichment on entry, sharing the same 25s cooldown. Consuming Enrichment grants the incoming Resonator Spring's Birth, which provides sustained HP recovery over time.
In Drizzle Stance, Suisui builds Floral Epistle through Basic Attacks, Heavy Attacks, and successful dodges. The amount of Floral Epistle she accumulates before swapping out directly determines the strength of her Outro Skill Rippling Waters. The Outro always grants the whole team 25% All DMG Amplification for 30s on cast. With Ceaseless Landscape active, it unlocks tiered bonuses based on Floral Epistle consumed: at 200+, the first Plume Step becomes available; at 400+, Resonators with Reflecting Shadows gain a DMG buff scaling with Suisui's Energy Regen over 200%; and at 600+, the incoming Resonator gains Undulating Mist, granting an ATK buff each time they consume Negative Status stacks on the target, also scaling with Suisui's Energy Regen.
Suisui's biggest strength is her Resonance Liberation Song of Thoroughfare, which deploys Ceaseless Landscape for 30s. While active, it boosts the whole team's Negative Status stack limits on enemies - covering Spectro Frazzle, Fusion Burst, Glacio Chafe, Aero Erosion, and Electro Flare. For Havoc Bane teams specifically, consuming Havoc Bane stacks also grants the Resonator's Havoc DMG a 6% DEF ignore and 12% Havoc RES ignore for 30s.
Electro Rover (5★)
Rover: Electro is an Electro Sword resonator who functions as a Sub-DPS and Amplifier, specialising in team-wide damage buffs. Her gameplay revolves around building resources and amplifying her teammate damage.
- When Rover: Electro is not in Apex Resonance, Intro Skill, Normal Attacks, and Resonance Skill grants Electric Surge on hit.
- At full Electric Surge, press Resonance Skill to clear all Electric Surge and grant all Resonators in the team ATK Bonus.
- At full Electric Surge, hold Resonance Skill to clear all Electric Surge and enter Apex Resonance and unlock Thrum of All Sounds.
- Apex Resonance consumes Thunder Rage each second. Thrum of All Sounds grants Thunder Rage on it.
- Casting Outro Skill to switch to another Resonator while in Apex Resonance clears all the Thunder Rage. The incoming Resonator gains Electro Core for 20s. When Resonators with Electro Core inflict Negative Statuses, consume Electro Core to gain 25% All DMG Amplification for 14s.
