What Are Tokens in FC 26, and How Do You Earn Them?
FC 26 has two types of Tokens so far. Festival of Football (FoF) Tokens, and Champions Tokens. Both of these are a completely new currency that you can only earn by playing the game. There’s no way to purchase them for now. For FoF Tokens, you have to play Division Rivals, Rush, complete Objectives, do SBCs, or do other similar things. You can earn a decent amount just by playing the game without having to go out of your way to grind if you regularly play Rivals, Rush, and Squad Battles anyway.
Champions Tokens, as you can guess, can only be earned by playing FUT Champions. You get more the higher you rank each week. Once you have these tokens, you can spend them in the Store menu, where they have their own separate tabs. You can spend these Tokens on exclusive packs and cards that aren’t anywhere else in the game. It’s a great way to reward players simply for playing, and the prizes are genuinely quite good.
What Can You Buy With These Tokens?
FoF and Champions Tokens aren’t interchangeable. They have separate store tabs and separate items available in either tab. That’s actually a good thing though, as the items in both tabs are great so you can get grind towards two things at the same time. For example, 2,500 FoF tokens are enough to get you amazing 96-Rated ICON cards for Owen, Rivaldo, Pirlo, or Petit. Each of them have 4 Playstyles+ and are great cards that would be worth over a million on the market.
Champions Tokens can be spent on other players, like a great 95-Rated Reese James card or 600 Tokens that fits into the newly released Evo Lab. Plus if you aren’t interested in players, you can spend FoF Tokens or Champions Tokens on other things too. You can purchase packs or evolutions too. Currently players can even exchange 1000 Champions tokens for a 1 of 5 93+ Encore Icon player pick with various promo Icons included.
Can You Save Up Tokens in FC 26?
New tokens will be available every week, thanks to Champs, Rivals, Rush, and other sources. And the best part is that you don’t have to worry about spending them ASAP. Both FoF and Champs Tokens will carry over every week until a certain point. Even if you don’t have enough for good rewards this week, you can save up and get more Tokens next week for the best rewards. They don’t expire for a considerable time. So far, it’s a perfect feature with no drawbacks, which is quite surprising given EA’s track record.
However, like packs in the regular store, cards, evolutions, and packs in Token stores will expire with time. The market will refresh every week or so with new items available to buy. If you’re planning to exchange Tokens for something, you should check when it expires so you don’t miss out. The exchange items so far seem quite good.
There is a limit to how many tokens you can earn each week, with a limit of 1000 for FoF Tokens. This limit resets every week after Rivals rewards. Regardless of the limit though, you need to play regularly and win to get higher ranks for more tokens. And if you need better FC 26 players in your team for that, LootBar is the place to get them.
