Phase 1Phase 2

Shinku

Shinku

Iroi

Iroi

For the first phase of Version 1.2, we have Shinku, a Cosmos Main DPS with a unique dual-form combat style, recently reassigned to Heathereau HQ as Mint's newest CSU2 teammate. For the second phase, we have Iroi, an Anima healer and buffer who works closely with both Mint and Shinku, summoning a trio of dream-lambs to support her kit. Both boards run for 21 days each. Let's break down their kits and current value in more detail.

Shinku

Shinku

  • Role

Cosmos Main DPS

  • Current Meta Role (Version 1.2)

Shinku is built around dual-form combat. In her normal form, she chains up to 5 Special Combat Arts strikes that deal Cosmos damage while building her Defiant Spirit Gauge. Once that gauge fills, she enters Surging Crimson, her Rampage form, where her whole kit transforms, basic attacks become Tidal Assault and she builds Fading Reason instead. Her Redirect skill, High-Speed Breach, lets her rocket straight at targets, and her ultimates escalate from Crimson Fury into Crimson Judgment and finally Ultimate Dragonflame Verdict, which hits a wide area for heavy Cosmos damage. She also brings team utility through Charge Cycle Enhancement, where off-field characters charge their energy at the same rate as whoever is active.

  • Should You Pull For Shinku?

If your account is light on Cosmos damage or you want a flashy, high-mobility Main DPS with a transformation gimmick, Shinku is a great pick. Her open-world utility is also a nice bonus, since Rampage form boosts movement and climbing speed outside of combat. Her Charge Cycle Enhancement gives her solid team value even outside of her own damage numbers, which helps justify pulling her even if you're not deep into Cosmos teams yet.

However, if you're already satisfied with your current Main DPS and don't have a need for another Cosmos attacker, Shinku's dual-form playstyle might also just not be for everyone, especially if you prefer simpler, single-form kits.

  • Final Verdict

PULL if you want a strong Cosmos Main DPS with high mobility and team-wide charge utility.

SKIP if your Main DPS slot is already filled and you don't need another Cosmos attacker.

Iroi

Iroi

  • Role

Anima Healer / Buffer

  • Current Meta Role (Version 1.2)

Iroi's kit is built entirely around healing and team support. Her Esper ability summons 3 lambs, Phantasos, Morpheus, and Icelos, that build a persistent dream field around her. Her Basic Attack Collaboration strings together up to five Anima damage hits while building Imagination, which can then be spent on up to three charged attacks. Her Redirect skill is flexible: tapping builds more Imagination through her lambs, while holding it puts up to three teammates into Regression, making them invincible and temporarily replacing them in battle with the lambs. Her ultimate, Gates of Dreams, scales with how much Imagination she has banked below the threshold it provides continuous team-wide healing through Dream of the Horned Gate, while above it, it instead damages all enemies and revives fallen teammates through Dream of the Ivory Gate. Her Blossom Cycle Enhancement also spawns a duplicate Vitabud whenever the first one disappears, extending her sustain even further.

  • Should You Pull For Iroi?

If your account is missing a reliable healer, or if you want a support unit that can also flex into a team-wide revive and damage tool when fully charged, Iroi is an excellent investment. Support and healer characters in gacha games typically have a much longer shelf life in the meta than DPS units, so investing in Iroi now is likely to pay off for a long time, especially if you're planning to pull for Shinku as well, since they're clearly designed to be played together.

However, if you already have a strong healer or sustain unit that covers your team's survivability needs, Iroi's value drops significantly, since her kit overlaps heavily with what a dedicated healer already provides.

  • Final Verdict

PULL if you lack a dedicated healer or want a flexible support that can revive and burst damage when built up.

SKIP if you already have a strong healer or sustain character covering your current teams.

Conclusion

NTE Version 1.2 brings a genuinely complete package with Shinku and Iroi, pairing an aggressive Cosmos DPS with a flexible Anima healer who clearly synergize as a team. If you're planning to build around both, make sure to budget your Riftcrystals and Tri-Keys early, since back-to-back banners can stretch your resources thin. Prioritize whichever role your account actually needs and if you really like the character then just get them and just ignore the meta and enjoy the game!
