NTE 1.2 New Characters
Shinku (S-Rank, Cosmos)
| Main DPS | ||
Shinku | Rarity | S-Rank |
| Esper Type | Cosmos | |
| Arc Type | Condensate | |
An icy but decisive operative recently reassigned to Heathereau HQ, Shinku is Mint's newest teammate. She's reserved off-mission but charges headfirst into danger when it counts — that's just how this dragon girl protects the people she cares about.
Shinku's defining feature is her dual-form combat. In her normal form, she strings up to five consecutive Special Combat Arts strikes that deal Cosmos damage and build her Defiant Spirit Gauge. Filling this gauge lets her enter Surging Crimson, her Rampage form, where her entire kit transforms — basic attacks shift to Tidal Assault, building Fading Reason instead. Her Redirect skill, High-Speed Breach, sends her rocketing at targets. Her ultimates chain from Crimson Fury → Crimson Judgment → Ultimate Dragonflame Verdict, the last hitting a wide area with massive Cosmos damage. In the open world, Rampage Shinku gains boosted movement and climbing speed. In team play, she triggers the Charge Cycle Enhancement: whenever the active character charges up, off-field characters charge by the same amount.
Iroi (S-Rank, Anima)
| Healer / Buffer | ||
Iroi | Rarity | S-Rank |
| Esper Type | Anima | |
| Arc Type | Liquid | |
Warm, wildly popular, and a natural with people, Iroi works alongside Mint and Shinku in CSU2. Her Esper ability summons three lambs — Phantasos, Morpheus, and Ikelos — who build a persistent dream field around her.
Iroi's role is healing and buffs. Her Basic Attack Collaboration strings up to five Anima damage hits and builds Imagination. Holding Basic Attack spends Imagination for up to three charged attacks. Her Redirect skill branches: tap to build Imagination via lamb attacks, or hold to put three teammates into the Regression state — becoming invincible and replaced by her lambs in battle. Her ultimate opens the Gates of Dreams: below the Imagination threshold, it heals the whole team continuously (Dream of the Horned Gate); above it, it damages all enemies while resurrecting fallen teammates (Dream of the Ivory Gate). Her Blossom Cycle Enhancement spawns a duplicate Vitabud when the first one disappears. In the open world, interacting with small animals grants useful items up to 2 times per day, capped at 999 total.
New Main Story — Warren Continent
Version 1.2's story is a lighter, post-Scarlet Letter episode. Mint pulls strings to get a wildly popular tabletop game bundle and invites the Appraiser to a game night with CSU2's new arrivals. The game — 999 Nights — whisks the four-person party (Appraiser, Mint, Iroi, Shinku) to the Warren Continent, a fantasy realm plagued by a dragon problem. The party travels through Fuzzy Village, across the Plains, into the Volcano, Icefield, and Lakelands, and finally into the Dragon Keep to face the Crimson Dragon.
NTE Version 1.2 Warren Continent
This tabletop RPG mode is permanently available. It features a full gear system across 7 equipment slots with randomized stats, set bonuses, and visible gear changes on character models in real time. Gear is appraised at camps or bonfires. Completing runs earns Mystery Buttons for the event shop, which also stocks select Heathereau outfits to wear in the open world. The mode is fully replayable, with later runs unlocking new regions, quests, and higher-tier gear.
