Nagi Gameplay and Playstyle
Nagi is a 5-star Wind-type ranged Destroyer who functions as a Stagger Gauge Expert while also being a Sub DPS, and a Debuffer. She excels at filling enemy Stagger Gauges rapidly while debuffing enemies and opening up damage windows for the whole team. Her entire kit revolves around a passive mechanic that grants unique buffs whenever her skills are used, with each buff enhancing her abilities with additional effects that stack into each other naturally during a rotation.
Her Special Skill launches enemies into the air while dealing Wind DMG, making it both a damage tool and a crowd control setup for teammates to follow up. Her Switch Skill quickly moves her close to enemies and triggers an explosion on landing that deals Wind DMG which is very useful for maintaining AOE on enemies during tag-in rotations without losing momentum. Her Ultimate pulls nearby enemies together, deals Wind DMG, and shreds both their Wind RES and DEF, making it an important setup before the Main DPS comes in to take advantage on the debuff duration.
What makes Nagi stand out from other Destroyers is that her kit does more than just fill the Stagger Gauge. The combo of Wind RES shred and DEF reduction from her Ultimate means she's actively amplifying the whole team's damage output every time she comes on field and not just creating stagger opportunities. The Ultimate Skill should be the first one to upgrade since it's her most impactful skill, pulling enemies together while shredding their Wind RES and DEF, which directly boosts the entire team's damage output every time it's used. Next, prioritize the Special Skill since launching enemies airborne deals big Wind DMG and sets up follow-up opportunities for her teammates. After that, upgrade the Switch Skill as the explosion on tagging in renders enemies airborne while dealing Wind DMG contributes to her Stagger Gauge pressure during rotations.
