Lies of P Trinity Keys Guide: All Riddles & Door Locations

Lies of P is a game built on secrets, and few systems reward curiosity more cleverly than the Trinity Keys. Scattered across the ruined city of Krat, ringing telephones connect players to the enigmatic Arlecchino, self-styled King of Riddles - who poses cryptic questions in exchange for keys that unlock hidden Trinity Sanctums. Each sanctum holds rare loot: Quartz, amulets, and exclusive outfits unavailable elsewhere. Collecting all five Trinity Keys and clearing every sanctum even unlocks the End of Riddles trophy and achievement. Whether you're hunting collectibles or chasing platinum, this guide covers every riddle location, every correct answer, and every Trinity Door in the game.

How Trinity Keys Work in Lies of P

Trinity Keys are earned by correctly answering Arlecchino's riddles at ringing phones found at specific locations throughout the game. There are four standard riddles tied to individual Trinity Doors, plus a fifth special interaction that awards the Chosen One's Trinity Key - required exclusively for the final sanctum.

A few important rules to keep in mind:

  • Your answers to riddles have no effect on story endings. This side quest is completely separate from the Lie/Truth mechanic.

  • Answering incorrectly on some riddles doesn't always cost you the key - but wrong answers may trigger temporary elemental debuffs or require you to surrender items.

  • Trinity Keys and Trinity Doors are not in the same location. Keys are earned at phone sites; doors are used elsewhere.

  • Listen for a ringing sound and look for a small light to spot phones in the environment.

All Riddle Locations and Correct Answers

Riddle 1 - Krat City Hall Courtyard Answer: Human

Riddle 1: Human

After opening the gate to the factory district, follow the path toward the Workshop Union. You'll reach a bridge lined with bomb-throwing puppets. Before crossing, turn right to find the first ringing phone. Arlecchino poses the classic Sphinx's riddle: "By morning, it walks on feet numbering four. At mid-day just two, no less and no more. It walks on three feet when the evening arrives." The answer, of course, is Human - a baby crawling on all fours, an adult walking upright, and an elderly person with a cane.

Riddle 2 - Malum District Answer: Candle

Riddle 2: Candle

Once you reach the open courtyard with the central burning pyre and Decay-throwing enemies on the rooftops, head toward the back of the area. Climb the ladder inside the tall building to reach the second phone. Arlecchino asks: "I stand tall and proud when I'm young and bold. But I'm short and humble once I've gotten old." The answer is Candle.

Riddle 3 - Grand Exhibition Gallery Answer: Egg (with an extra step)

Riddle 3: Egg

Shortly after Belle's area and the bridge shortcut activation, you'll find the third phone near a puppet display room. Arlecchino asks: "What cannot be used before it breaks?" Answer Egg. However, this one doesn't hand you the key directly. Arlecchino gives a clue instead: "Before the fingertips of the cold woman in the Grand Exhibition." Backtrack to the two marble statues earlier in the area and interact with the movable statue, rotating it to mirror the fixed one. A hidden compartment opens, revealing the Trinity Key.

Riddle 4 - Krat Central Station Street Answer: Ergo

Riddle 4: Ergo

From the Stargazer, go through the archway and navigate left, right, then left again to find the fourth phone on a cliffside alley. Arlecchino riddles: "This blue flower has many ways to take root, but only on man does it ever bear fruit." Answer Ergo - the game's primary currency and the blue-glowing lifeforce harvested from defeated enemies. The Trinity Key is awarded immediately with no extra steps.

Riddle 5 - Relic of Trismegistus Entrance Answer: Either (no wrong choice)

Riddle 5: Either

Past the Stargazer approaching the boss fight area, loop around to the cliff above the boss door to find the final phone. This isn't a traditional riddle - Arlecchino bluntly demands: "Is Geppetto's creation a killer? CONFESS!" Either answer yields the same reward: the Chosen One's Trinity Key and the King of Riddles' Supply Box, which expands Polendina's shop back at Hotel Krat.

All Trinity Door Locations and Rewards

Door 1 - Workshop Union Culvert Requires: Trinity Key from Riddle 1

From the Stargazer, push through the fiery rolling-ball tunnel and exit right. Navigate past the Red Fox and Black Cat near the lift, then follow the large red pipes. Turn left at the end of the pipe corridor to find the door marked with a chalk triangle. Rewards: Quartz + Blue Blood's Tailcoat

Door 2 - St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel Requires: Trinity Key from Riddle 2

Follow the standard route through the cathedral ruins and clocktower mechanisms until you reach electrified balls rolling down a slope. Sprint up between intervals, climb the ladder, then repeat for a second set of rolling balls. At the top of the second run, a tunnel leads directly to the Trinity Door. Rewards: Black Cat's Amulet + Monster Sweeper's Hunting Apparel

Door 3 - Estella Opera House Entrance Requires: Trinity Key from Riddle 3

Progress through the Opera House to the room with the massive swinging, flaming chandelier hanging over a pit. The boss door is directly ahead - don't cross to it yet. Instead, drop down into the pit and immediately turn around to find the door in the wall below. Rewards: Quartz + Belford Superior Radiation Converter

Door 4 - Krat Central Station Lobby Requires: Trinity Key from Riddle 4

From the Stargazer, descend the stairs to the left past the large statue bearing the Krat Grand Exhibition plaque. Go through the open doors and follow the staircase down to find the Trinity Door at the bottom. Rewards: Workshop Master's Workwear + Carrier's Amulet +1

Trinity Sanctum

Door 5 - Arche Abbey Outer Wall Requires: Chosen One's Trinity Key from Riddle 5 only

This is the most involved door to reach. From the Outer Wall Stargazer, climb the ladder behind you, head right up the stone stairs past the rooftop gunman, then climb the next ladder on the left. At the top, go right and descend until you reach a chamber with rope-plank bridges crossing the room. Cross carefully, drop down the ladder on the left, then follow the path behind the ladder to another ladder. Descend again and walk forward through stone pillars toward an archway lit by a single lamp. The final Trinity Door waits here - and behind it, Arlecchino himself.

Speak with him and answer his final question however you choose. Your answer doesn't matter. Rewards: Alchemist's Cape + Moon World Warrior Toy (give the toy to Venigni for an Achievement/Trophy)

Conclusion

Completing all five Trinity Sanctums is one of the most rewarding side activities in Lies of P, offering exclusive cosmetics, powerful amulets, and precious Quartz for character upgrades - all without requiring a single detour off the critical path. The key is patience: answer carefully, follow Arlecchino's clues, and you'll clear every sanctum by the time you reach Arche Abbey.
