Last War: Survival War Merit Shop & Spending Guide Season 6

War Merit is one of those resources in Last War: Survival that a lot of players treat as an afterthought until they're three weeks into the season and suddenly realize they've been sitting on a pile of it with no plan. The thing is, War Merit is one of the most impactful seasonal currencies you'll earn in Season 6 — it's how you buy Tactics Card Packs, push your faction rank, and unlock rewards that directly affect your squad strength. Getting it wrong doesn't just mean missing some cosmetics. It means showing up to a server war short on Awakening resources and card upgrades when everyone else was spending smart the whole time. If you're looking to stay stocked on resources throughout the season alongside your War Merit strategy, LootBar is where I top up for Last War. Genuinely the best rates I've found outside the in-game store, and it works directly.

How War Merit Works in Season 6

Faction War Rank tiers in Season 6 — each rank unlocks better hero buffs and gates access to higher-tier shop items. Reaching Bloodguard and Chieftain requires both Wetland Elite III and a top ranking in total War Merit

War Merit in Season 6 is earned by contributing to your faction's war effort: capturing and holding cities, destroying enemy cities, participating in Kill events, and donating to Alliance Skills and Faction Technology. It accumulates throughout the season and feeds into two different systems. First, your War Merit rank, which gates specific shop items behind faction rank thresholds like Vanguard II, Warrior I, and Elite III. Second, the War Merit Shop itself, which opens up new items week by week across the season. Understanding both sides of this is what separates players who spend efficiently from ones who blow all their War Merit early on low-priority items and find themselves locked out of the good stuff later.

How to Unlock the War Merit Shop

Fungus Institute

The War Merit Shop is not available from day one. To access it, you need to upgrade your Fungus Institute building to at least level 4. Once you hit level 4, the War Merit Shop structure becomes buildable, and after you construct it, all currently available shop items become accessible immediately.

This means your first week priority is clear: get your Fungus Institute to level 4 as fast as possible. Players who delay this effectively lock themselves out of the daily and weekly items from the first week of the shop, and those items accumulate, meaning the earlier you access the shop, the more stock builds up for you to buy when you do have the War Merit to spend.

What's in the Shop and When It Unlocks

Last War Survival Season 6 War Merit Shop

The War Merit Shop rolls out items progressively across the season. New items unlock weekly, and some require specific faction ranks to appear. Items with no refresh carry over if you don't buy them — the same goes for daily and weekly items that accumulate when skipped. Here's the full schedule:

Week 1: Available from Day 1

Daily Hot items restock every 24 hours. Weekly Discount items restock once per week. Mid-week items unlock around Day 5–6 and require Vanguard II faction rank. All unspent stock carries over.

Best Items to Prioritize: A Spending Tier List

Not all War Merit purchases are equal. Here's how to think about spending based on actual impact on your season performance. And if you're running short on resources to keep your faction contributions going, LootBar remains my go-to for Last War top-ups — consistent rates and direct delivery every time.

Must Buy

  • UR Tactics Card Pack (x3 across the season)
Three one-time UR Tactics Card Packs unlock at Vanguard II, Warrior I, and Elite III rank respectively. Each costs 12,500 War Merit. These are the highest-value items in the entire shop — UR Tactics Cards directly improve your squad's combat performance in both PvP and Global Expedition. Save for these and buy them the moment they unlock.
Cost: 12,500 each. One-time purchase. Faction rank gated.
  • Rainforest Mushroom x10K (Daily)
Mushrooms are the primary seasonal resource in Season 6, used for upgrading seasonal buildings and feeding Faction Technology. At 100 War Merit for 10K mushrooms with a daily limit of 80, this is the best cost-to-value daily purchase in the shop. Buy the full daily limit every day you have the War Merit to do so.
Cost: 100 per purchase. Daily refresh, limit 80. Carries over.

High Priority

  • Golden Bait (Week 2)
Unlocks in Week 2 at 2,000 War Merit each, weekly limit of 20. Golden Bait increases your chances of landing high-quality fish in the fishing events, which directly feeds into Alliance Skills and Faction Technology donations. If fishing events are active on your server, this item has a multiplier effect on everything else your alliance is building toward.
Cost: 2,000 each. Weekly refresh, limit 20. Unlocks Week 2.
  • Universal Exclusive Weapon Shard (Week 6, Elite III)
At 1,500 War Merit each with a limit of 40, these are one of the highest-value late-season purchases in the entire shop. Universal EW Shards can be used on any hero's Exclusive Weapon, making them flexible regardless of which hero you're building. Don't miss these when Week 6 opens.
Cost: 1,500 each. One-time stock of 40. Requires Elite III rank.
  • Armament Core (Week 5, Elite III)
Unlocks at Week 5 behind the Elite III gate at 500 War Merit each with a limit of 50. Armament Cores are used to upgrade your Armament Institute, which directly unlocks higher troop tiers. Getting these sorted in Week 5 sets you up for the final push of the season.
Cost: 500 each. One-time stock of 50. Requires Elite III rank.
  • Training Certificate (Week 4, Elite III)
Unlocks at Week 4 behind the Elite III rank gate. Training Certificates are used to upgrade troop tiers, which is a direct power increase for your march and garrison strength. At 300 War Merit with a limit of 100, the total cost is manageable and the payoff in troop power is significant for mid-to-late season PvP.
Cost: 300 each. One-time stock of 100. Requires Elite III rank.
  • Drone Parts (Week 5, Elite III)
Drone Parts are used to upgrade your drones, which provide passive combat bonuses during battles. They unlock at Week 5 behind the Elite III gate. At 400 War Merit per unit with a limit of 100, this is a late-season purchase worth planning your War Merit balance around if you're pushing drone upgrades.
Cost: 400 each. One-time stock. Requires Elite III rank.

Mid Priority

Skill Medals + UR Universal Hero Shards (Week 3)

Both unlock in Week 3. Skill Medals are used to upgrade hero skills, and UR Universal Hero Shards work toward pulling new UR heroes. Both are worth buying consistently once your higher-priority items are covered. Skill Medals at 900 War Merit each give you direct progression on your existing heroes, which is usually more immediately impactful than pulling new ones.

Skill Medal: 900 each, weekly limit 50. Hero Shard: 750 each, weekly limit 10. Unlock Week 3.

Lower Priority

Speed-ups (5m Construction / Research / Training / Healing)

Multiple speed-up types become available throughout the season at 25 War Merit each. They're cheap, but their value is low compared to everything else in the shop. Only buy these after you've covered all higher-priority purchases, and never at the expense of saving for the UR Tactics Card Packs.

Cost: 25 each. One-time or weekly stock depending on type.

Conclusion

War Merit is one of the most impactful seasonal currencies in Last War: Survival Season 6, and the players who get the most out of it are the ones who planned their spending from week one instead of scrambling at the end. Get your Fungus Institute to level 4 first, buy Rainforest Mushrooms from the daily section consistently, save 12,500 War Merit each time a UR Tactics Card Pack unlocks behind a rank gate, and let your cumulative War Merit ranking work double duty toward your Alliance Settlement Rewards.

The shop opens up significantly in Weeks 3 through 5, so the pace of spending accelerates as the season goes on. Keep your balance healthy and check the unlock schedule regularly. For keeping your resources stocked throughout all of this, LootBar is consistently the most cost-effective top-up option I've found for Last War Top Up. Better rates, fast delivery, works directly in-game.
