If there's one thing that separates alliances that consistently win their weekly duels from the ones that always seem to fall short on Day 6, it's this: knowing exactly what to save and when to use it. VS Days, officially called the Alliance Duel, is a 6-day event running Monday through Saturday where your alliance goes head-to-head against another. Each day has a specific theme, and the resources you use on the right day are worth dramatically more than the same resources wasted on the wrong one. Training speedups used on Tuesday instead of Friday can literally cost your alliance the entire week's score. If you're also looking to keep your resources topped up so you're never short of speedups when Friday rolls around, LootBar is the best-value option I've found for Last War top-ups. Consistent rates and fast delivery, and it's been my go-to since Season 1.
The Alliance Duel requires your HQ to be at least level 10, and your alliance needs at least 20 members to participate. Only the top 32 alliances in a warzone can join, so it's competitive by design. The event uses a league system where alliances are grouped in batches of 16 for a 4-week season, getting promoted or demoted based on weekly duel results. Rewards scale with your league tier, which is why winning consistently matters beyond just bragging rights.

Victory Points Overview: Why Days 5 and 6 Are Everything
Not every day is worth the same in VS. Here's the full point breakdown for the week:
| Day | Theme | Victory Points | Priority |
| Monday | Radar Training | 1 VP | Low — routine tasks |
| Tuesday | City Building | 1 VP | Low — construction focus |
| Wednesday | Tech Research | 1 VP | Low — research focus |
| Thursday | Hero Training | 2 VP | Medium — hero items |
| Friday | Total Mobilization | 3 VP | High — dump ALL speedups |
| Saturday | Enemy Buster | 4 VP | Highest — full combat day |
Days 5 and 6 together account for 7 of the total 12 VP available per week. If your alliance wins both of those days, you're in a strong position regardless of how the earlier days went. If you lose both, catching up is nearly impossible. Everything you do Monday through Thursday is preparation for those two days.
Day-by-Day Breakdown
Monday — Radar Training
Monday is a low-stakes day built around tasks you'd probably be doing anyway. Don't burn any valuable resources here — just complete the day's themed activities and let the bigger resources sit.
Use Today
- Radar missions — stack them on Sunday, complete and collect on Monday
- Drone Skill Chip Chests — open ALL saved chip chests today (they only count on Monday)
- Drone Combat Data and Drone Parts — train and upgrade drones
- Gathering marches — start on Sunday so they complete after the Monday reset. Gold tiles score the most points
- Stamina — attacks, rallies, and radar missions
Save for Later
- Construction speedups → Tuesday and Friday
- Research speedups → Wednesday and Friday
- Valor Badges → Wednesday
- Drone Component Chests → Wednesday (different from Skill Chip Chests)
- Hero shards, EXP, skill medals, recruitment tickets → Thursday
- Training speedups → Friday
- Shields and teleports → Saturday
Tuesday — City Building
Save your biggest, most expensive building upgrades for Tuesday. Start your heaviest upgrade right at the reset, use speedups to push through it, and immediately queue the next one. Coordinate with alliance members so help requests flow steadily throughout the day.
Use Today
- Construction speedups — push through builds and immediately start new ones
- Building upgrades — Tech Centres, Barracks, Hospitals, Production Facilities
- Legendary trade trucks and Survivor recruitment
Save for Later
- Research speedups → Wednesday and Friday
- Hero shards, EXP, skill medals → Thursday
- Training speedups → Friday
- Shields and teleports → Saturday
Wednesday — Tech Research
Wednesday is research day. Start your most expensive research at reset and speedup through it. Spend all your saved Valor Badges today — the best use is Alliance Duel research, which raises your point multipliers and unlocks more daily reward chests.
Use Today
- Research speedups — start your heaviest research and burn through it
- Valor Badges — spend in bulk, prioritize Alliance Duel research
- Drone Component Chests — open ALL saved chests (they only count on Wednesday, not Monday)
Save for Later
- Hero shards, EXP, skill medals → Thursday
- Training speedups and general speedups → Friday
- Shields and teleports → Saturday
⚠️ Drone Skill Chip Chests only count on Monday. Drone Component Chests only count on Wednesday. These are different items. Save each type for the correct day or you waste the VS points entirely.
Thursday — Hero Training
Thursday is where you dump everything hero-related that you've been holding back all week. Every shard, EXP bottle, skill medal, and recruitment ticket you've been sitting on goes today. This is worth 2 VP so alliance-wide participation matters here — remind everyone the night before.
Use Today
- Hero shards — class upgrades
- Hero EXP items — spend all saved bottles
- Skill medals — upgrade hero skills
- Exclusive weapon shards — weapon enhancement
- Recruitment tickets — Legendary, New Era, Hero's Return
Save for Later
- Training speedups → Friday
- General speedups → Friday
- Shields, teleports, healing speedups → Saturday
Friday — Total Mobilization
This is the day you've been saving all week for. Total Mobilization has a 4x point multiplier on all training activities. Every training speedup you've accumulated pays off today. Use the waterfall strategy: train low-tier troops and promote them upward through each Barracks, which generates roughly 4x the points of simply training high-tier directly.
Use Today — Empty Your Inventory
- Training speedups — all of them, this is the day
- General speedups — every one saved throughout the week
- Construction and research speedups — any remaining from earlier days
- Training Certificates, Guidebooks, Bond Badges
- Overlord Universal Shards
- Troop training — use the waterfall/promotion strategy
Save for Tomorrow
- Shields, teleports, and fuel → Saturday
- Healing speedups → Saturday
Saturday — Enemy Buster
Saturday is the biggest day of the week. 4 VP, and it can swing the entire duel result on its own. Points come from actually killing enemy troops, empty bases give zero points. Always scout before attacking. The 5x multiplier for targeting your matched rival alliance makes coordinating attacks against them far more efficient than hitting random targets.
Use Today — Everything Left
- Troops — rallies and coordinated attacks on scouted targets
- Shields — protect your base between attacks and when offline
- Teleports — use the Alliance Assaults tab for a free teleport to the rival server
- Healing speedups — heal troops and send them back into combat
- UR trade trucks — dispatch for milestone points
- Any remaining speedups — research, training, construction all count
- Legendary secret tasks — complete for bonus points
Attacking members of your matched rival alliance gives a 5x point multiplier. Use the Alliance Assaults tab for a free teleport directly to the rival server. This makes focused attacks on your opponent far more valuable than hitting anyone else.

Arms Race Alignment and Weekly Preparation
Arms Race Double-Dipping
Since the November 2025 update, Arms Race phases align directly with Alliance Duel VS days. A single action can score in both events simultaneously; a research speedup on Wednesday counts for Tech Research VS points and Arms Race research points at the same time. Planning your Arms Race participation to overlap with VS day themes doubles the value of every resource you use.
This alignment is one of the biggest efficiency advantages available to organized alliances. When both events reward the same activity on the same day, every speedup and resource is effectively worth double. Staying stocked on speedups to take full advantage of these windows is where LootBar pays off the most, better rates than in-game and you're never caught short on a Friday or Saturday.
League System
Alliance Duel runs on a League system with 4-week seasons. Sixteen alliances are grouped together at the start of each season, and at season end, alliances are promoted or demoted based on their ranking. There are three tiers: Silver (entry), Gold (mid), and Diamond (top). Higher tiers come with significantly better rewards including more gems, Valor Badges, drone components, and resource chests.
The first 2 weeks of a new league serve as placement matches; your win count and match completion speed determine your initial placement. After placement, final standings are based on total victories across the full season. Your alliance must score at least 6,000,000 cumulative points during the league to qualify for end-of-season rewards.
📌 Season 4+ Change
From Season 4 onward, points are also awarded for using Armament Materials and Armament Cores on Tuesday — the resources needed for T11 troop upgrades. If you're at that progression stage, Tuesday becomes a more valuable day than it used to be.
Reset Timing
Events reset at server midnight (UTC-2). There's a 5-minute countdown after reset before scoring begins. Don't try to score points during that window, they won't count. Wait for the countdown to finish, then immediately start your prepared activities.
Conclusion
VS Days is one of the most structured events in Last War: Survival, and that structure is exactly what makes it winnable. Once your alliance commits to the save-and-use rhythm; Chip Chests on Monday, builds on Tuesday, research and Valor Badges on Wednesday, hero items on Thursday, all speedups on Friday, full combat on Saturday, you'll consistently outperform alliances that are playing the same resources on the wrong days. Days 5 and 6 determine who wins the week, so everything from Monday onward is preparation for those two days. Keep your speedup reserves healthy throughout the week, coordinate your alliance before events start, and always scout before sending troops on Saturday. For keeping your resources stocked so you're never short of training speedups when Friday rolls around, LootBar is consistently the best-value option I've found for Last War Survival Top Up. Better rates, fast delivery, works directly in-game.
