Strongest Governor is Kingshot's most prestigious monthly event — 7 days, cross-kingdom leaderboard, Mythic hero shard rewards. Here is every point source per stage, the schedule, and the habits that separate top-100 from middle pack.
Strongest Governor replaced Hall of Governors and is not the same event with a new name. The leaderboard now runs across six kingdoms instead of one, the rewards are substantially better, and the point sources require more planning than anything HoG demanded. Players who prepared for HoG the old way and applied the same approach to Strongest Governor found out quickly that the competition had changed. This guide covers every stage, every high-value point source, and the preparation habits that make the difference when the event opens. Players can visit LootBar to manage their top-up needs before the event starts.

What Strongest Governor Actually Is
Monthly event. Seven days. Each day runs a different stage with its own set of tasks and point values. You earn points by completing those tasks. Hit enough points per day and you unlock Point Milestone Rewards — five milestones per day, each requiring more points than the last. Each day also awards up to two Challenge Medals for completing tasks, which stack into a separate Challenge Medal reward track. Stage Ranking Rewards go out to the top 1,000 players per kingdom at the end of each day based on daily points scored.
The End of Event Rewards are where the biggest prizes sit. The cumulative 7-day leaderboard ranks you against players from your kingdom and five other kingdoms.Hero Shards for the current Seasonal Hero are the primary reason competitive players care about rankings. The difference between Rank 1 and Rank 50 is significant. Rank 50 versus Rank 200 is smaller but still meaningful.
The 7-Day Stage Schedule
The stage order is fixed: Day 1 City Construction, Day 2 Hero Development, Day 3 Basic Skill Up, Day 4 Combat Training, Day 5 Basic Skill Up again, Day 6 Combat Training again, Day 7 Hero Development again.Four unique stage types across seven days, three of them repeating. That repetition is not an accident. Resources not fully spent in the first instance of a stage can carry into the second.
Day 1: City Construction — Point Sources and What to Save
The highest single-action point source on Day 1 is Tempered Truegold at 30,000 points per unit used to upgrade a building. Regular Truegold runs 2,000 points per unit. Truegold Dust for Tech Research is 1,000 points per unit and only unlocks with the War Academy. Speedups — construction, research, training, or Master Skills — all earn 30 points per 1 million minutes used.
Governor Charm level-ups also score on Day 1. The points scale with Charm level: Level 1 is 625 points, Level 5 is 11,250, Level 10 is 15,000, Level 11 is 16,000. The Charm is worth leveling on Day 1 specifically if the level-up was being held.
The practical habit: do not spend Truegold or Tempered Truegold on building upgrades during the days before the event. Hold them for Day 1. A single Tempered Truegold on an off-day produces nothing. The same unit on Day 1 is 30,000 points toward milestones and leaderboard rank.
Day 2 and Day 7: Hero Development — The Highest Point Density in the Event
Hero Development stages have the most high-value point sources of any stage. Mithril is 40,000 points per unit — the highest-value resource in the event.Widgets: 8,000 points each. Hero Roulette: 8,000 points per play. Master Emblems: 6,000 points each. Forgehammers: 4,000 points each.
Hero Shard ascensions also score: Rare Shards at 350 points, Epic Shards at 1,220 points, Mythic Shards at 3,040 points. Master's Manuscripts are 60 points each — lower value individually but stackable if large quantities are available.
Day 7 adds gathering tasks on top of all the Hero Development sources: 2,500 Bread, 2,500 Wood, 500 Stone, or 100 Iron gathered in the Wilderness each earns 3 points. Low individual value but zero resource cost — active gathering marches during Day 7 add passive points without spending anything.
Mithril and Widgets are the two resources to hoard for Hero Development days above all else. A single Mithril is 40,000 points. Ten Mithril is 400,000 points. That is more than most players earn across all other sources combined in the same day.
Day 3 and Day 5: Basic Skill Up — Pet Refinement and Hero Progression
Advanced Taming Marks for pet refinement are the standout source on Basic Skill Up days at 15,000 points per mark. Common Taming Marks run 1,150 points each. Pet Advancement Score increases are 50 points per point raised.
Master Emblems, Hero Roulette, and Hero Shard ascensions all carry over from Hero Development and are available on Day 3.Day 3 is a second opportunity for Hero Development spending if those resources were not fully deployed on Day 2.
Day 5 drops the pet refinement sources but adds Truegold, Tempered Truegold, and all speedup categories back in alongside Forgehammers, Widgets, and Mithril.Day 5 is the second City Construction window for Truegold holders who split their stock between the two stages.
Day 4 and Day 6: Combat Training — Troop Training Is Not the Main Event
Troop training points are consistently misread by new Strongest Governor participants. Level 10 earns 39 points. Level 11 earns 49 points. Those numbers sound reasonable until compared to Mithril at 40,000 per unit or a Widget at 8,000. Training thousands of troops cannot compete with a handful of high-value items.
Train the highest tier troops you can afford for natural progression and let the points accumulate as a byproduct. Do not stockpile training time specifically for Combat Training days expecting it to shift leaderboard position.
On Day 4, the high-value sources are Forgehammers (4,000 points), Widgets (8,000 points), Mithril (40,000 points), and Governor Gear Charm level-ups. Governor Gear upgrades also score on Day 6 — Mythic gear at 6,250 points per level-up, Rare gear at 3,000 to 5,400 points depending on star level. Day 6 is the stage to use saved gear upgrade resources if any were held.
Challenge Medals and Why They Matter
Up to two Challenge Medals are earnable each day by completing tasks. Seven days means a maximum of 14 Challenge Medals across the full event. Challenge Medal rewards are claimed separately from milestone rewards and stack their own reward track on top of daily and ranking prizes. Hitting both medals every day costs minimal extra effort if the day's tasks are being completed for points anyway — the medal thresholds are low relative to the point volumes competitive players are generating.
Players who miss Challenge Medals on multiple days leave a meaningful portion of the event's total reward pool unclaimed. Check the Challenge Medal progress each day and make sure the threshold is hit before the day ends.
How to Actually Hit Top Rankings
Three months of stockpiling before the event is not an exaggeration. Mithril accumulates slowly. Widgets are the same. Advanced Taming Marks are rare.Top 10 players did not get there by playing harder during event week. They got there by not spending those resources outside of events for months.
The preparation list by stage type:Hero Development days: hoard Mithril, Widgets, Forgehammers, and Master Emblems. City Construction days: hoard Truegold, Tempered Truegold, and construction speedups. Basic Skill Up days: hoard Advanced Taming Marks and save Master Emblems from Hero Development if any remain. Combat Training days: complete gear upgrades and upgrade Governor Gear that has been accumulating.
The single most common ranking mistake is spending high-value resources — Mithril especially — between events when they are not on a scoring stage. Every Mithril spent on a non-event day is 40,000 points that will not appear on the leaderboard.
Conclusion
Strongest Governor is decided mostly in the months before it opens. Day 1 favours Truegold holders. Days 2 and 7 reward Mithril above everything else — 40,000 points per unit, the highest single-resource value in the event. Days 3 and 5 value Advanced Taming Marks and carry-forward Hero Development resources. Days 4 and 6 score on gear upgrades and troop training, but training alone will not move leaderboard position. Challenge Medals should hit the two-per-day threshold every day. None of this matters if the resources were spent before the event opened.
