Honkai: Star Rail 4.5, officially titled “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,” is scheduled to launch on August 26, 2026, following server maintenance. One important difference is the patch length: Version 4.5 will run for roughly five weeks instead of the standard six, giving players less time to save Stellar Jade between releases.

Honkai: Star Rail 4.5 Banner Schedule
Version 4.5 contains two banner phases, each featuring a new limited five-star character alongside a returning five-star.
Phase 1 – Robin • Summeretto and Hyacine
The first phase begins when HSR 4.5 launches on August 26. Robin • Summeretto is a 5-star Wind character following the Path of Remembrance, while Hyacine returns during the same phase.

Phase 2 begins on September 12, 2026. It introduces Aventurine • Waveflair, a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Elation, alongside an Ashveil rerun.

Honkai: Star Rail 4.5 New Characters
Robin • Summeretto – New Wind Remembrance Character
Robin • Summeretto is not a skin for the original Robin. She is a separate playable five-star character with her own build, Eidolons, abilities, and Light Cone options.
Her new version changes Robin from Physical Harmony to Wind Remembrance. She fights alongside a memosprite and is designed around teams that act frequently. Her playstyle offers strong offensive utility while also contributing damage, making her especially interesting for compositions built around repeated actions.
This makes Robin • Summeretto more than a cosmetic summer variant. She fills a different role from the original Robin and should be evaluated as a separate unit when deciding whether to pull.
Aventurine • Waveflair – Quantum Elation DPS
The second new five-star is Aventurine • Waveflair, another full alternate character rather than an outfit.
Unlike the original Imaginary Preservation Aventurine, Waveflair becomes a Quantum Elation damage dealer. His gameplay rewards active teams that attack frequently, allowing him to build resources and turn the party’s momentum into stronger Elation attacks.
The two versions therefore do very different jobs: the original Aventurine focuses on shields and survival, while Aventurine • Waveflair is built primarily for damage. Players interested in Elation teams will want to pay close attention to his trial once Phase 2 begins.
Honkai: Star Rail 4.5 New Light Cones
Version 4.5 introduces several notable Light Cones:
Rise and Sing – 5-star Remembrance Light Cone
Increases the wearer's Max HP by 30%. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, recovers 1 Skill Point for allies. When entering combat, advances the wearer's action by 30% and grants the wearer "New Melody" for 2 turn(s). While the wearer has "New Melody," all allies' SPD increases by 20%.
Summer Rides the Surf – 5-star Elation Light Cone.
Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 18%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, gains "Updraft," which increases the wearer's SPD by 24%. If the Elation Skill used is different from the last Elation Skill used, additionally gains "Uptrend," which increases the wearer's Elation by 40%. At the start of every wave or after the wearer uses their Elation Skill 3 time(s), recovers 1 Skill Point.
A Little Getaway – new 4-star Elation Light Cone.
Increases the wearer's Elation by 20%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, ignores 8% of the target's DEF.
New Story Content in Version 4.5
Version 4.5 continues the story after Planarcadia with the new Trailblaze Mission “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis.” The update shifts toward Astropolis and its summer-resort atmosphere while still following the consequences of the previous chapter.
There is also a Trailblaze Continuance titled “How to Lose Your Way to the Top: The Zero-Dollar Strategy.” It becomes permanently available after the 4.5 update, with an early-access option during the version through Finality’s Vision.
Even with its lighter summer presentation, Version 4.5 still moves the larger story forward.
Honkai: Star Rail 4.5 Events and Rewards
The flagship event is Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix, a racing-focused activity that mixes competition with team-management and strategy elements. Completing its objectives can reward 1,000 Stellar Jade, Tracks of Destiny, a Self-Modeling Resin, and the free four-star Hunt Light Cone Race to the Horizon.
The second major event, Minuscule Great Adventure, begins during Phase 2 and includes another set of challenges, with rewards including 500 Stellar Jade and a Track of Destiny.
Several familiar reward events also return:
Gift of Odyssey – grants 10 Star Rail Special Passes across seven login days.
Planar Fissure – boosts Planar Ornament farming.
Realm of the Strange – increases rewards from Caverns of Corrosion.

Divergent Universe: Arcadian Chronicles Update
Divergent Universe receives another expansion in Version 4.5 through Arcadian Chronicles. The update adds new equations, curios, weighted curios, and other gameplay modifiers.
The Synchronicity progression is also expanded, giving regular Divergent Universe players additional rewards and another reason to return to the mode.
Quality-of-Life Improvements and Extras
One of the most useful changes in Honkai: Star Rail 4.5 is the ability to speed up story dialogue. Players can toggle faster dialogue playback during story scenes, making longer conversations easier to move through without completely skipping them.
Version 4.5 also adds new Trailblaze Fashion headwear, updates Furbobo Press, refreshes selected in-game store content, and includes other optimization changes.
A future Honkai: Star Rail crossover with Zenless Zone Zero was also announced for winter 2026, although it is not part of the main Version 4.5 launch content.
