The GTA 6 weapons list is already looking stacked, and we’re still months out from the November 19, 2026 release. Rockstar has dropped two big trailers plus dozens of screenshots, and every one of them shows new hardware in action. Trailer 2 in particular went hard with a bank robbery sequence that put several guns front and center.
Here, you’ll get every confirmed gun that’s appeared in official GTA 6 material so far. I’ve stuck strictly to what Rockstar has actually put in front of us.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Pistols Rockstar Has Already Shown
Six distinct handguns have turned up across the trailers and promotional screenshots. That’s more variety at launch than GTA 5 gave us in the same category.
The Girardi ES9 is Jason’s everyday carry. It’s modeled on the Beretta 92FS and shows up multiple times, including the liquor store robbery in the first trailer. Ultimate Edition pre-orders get a personalized Jason variant with unique finishes.
Lucia’s sidearm is the Klose K17, a Glock 17-style pistol. It looks like it can switch to full-auto in some footage. The Ultimate Edition also throws in a custom Lucia paint job for it, plus the usual suppressor and optic options that seem standard across most pistols.
Then there’s the Hawk and Little Morgan Revolver. This one is the big pre-order bonus revolver, based on a classic .357/.629 frame. It comes with special engravings and serial number nods to older Vice City titles. The Mustang .357 is the other wheelgun we’ve seen — a Colt Python-inspired cannon that feels like the high-damage option.
The smaller Nipper .38 appears on the cover art and in Lucia’s hands in several shots. It’s the compact, low-tier choice. Finally, the Capo pistol is the 1911-style gun Jason uses in early footage. Simple, reliable, and probably the one you’ll find early in Leonida.
That said, the real hook with these pistols isn’t just the models. It’s how Rockstar is leaning into personalization right from the start.
SMGs That Made the GTA6 Trailers Pop
The second trailer’s bank job scene is the clearest look we’ve had at submachine guns in motion. Jason and Lucia both run MP5-inspired SMGs during the escape, complete with red-dot sights on at least one of them. They look controllable even when things get loud.
A MAC-10-inspired boxy SMG shows up in screenshots with a stubby muzzle and optional stock. Pre-order bonuses include a Micro SMG with a Tommy Vercetti signature skin, which feels like pure fan service done right.
Uzi-style guns sit on the racks inside Phil’s Ammu-Nation in the new screenshots. Nothing revolutionary, but it’s good to see the classic options still have a place.
Here’s the thing — these SMGs seem tuned for the close-to-medium range chaos that defines a lot of GTA missions. They’re not just reskins.
GTA 6 Carbines, Assault Rifles and Snipers
The Duke carbine is everywhere in the footage. It’s the modern M4-style platform with Duke Arms Company markings (a nice Red Dead callback). Different attachment combos keep showing up, so customization looks deep even on this one gun.
An AK-47-inspired rifle sits on weapon racks in the Ammu-Nation scenes. Classic wood furniture versions are there too, which should fit the street and rural gangs perfectly.
On the precision side we’ve got the Duke sniper rifle with the same branding and rail modifications. Hunters in the woods carry a bolt-action sniper that looks straight out of a Remington 700. There’s also an M1A-inspired semi-auto marksman rifle that probably sits between a battle rifle and a dedicated long gun.
Still, the carbine and AK variants are the ones that feel most ready for the open-world sandbox. Snipers will probably shine once we get proper long-range opportunities.
Grand Theft Auto 6 Shotguns, LMGs and Launchers
Shotguns look properly nasty in the right hands. The pump-action shotgun (Remington 870/Mossberg 590 mix) appears in robbery scenes and on Ammu-Nation walls. The classic double-barreled shotgun shows up with a hunter aiming at an alligator — pure Leonida flavor.
A tactical Benelli M4-inspired shotgun also sits on those same racks. It should handle like the faster, modern option.
The heavy stuff includes an M249-inspired LMG (called Combat MG in some coverage) that Phil himself shows off in trailer 2 footage. It’s the belt-fed monster for when you really need to suppress.
Launchers are confirmed too. Lucia fires a Milkor MGL-style grenade launcher in trailer 2, and an RPG-7-style rocket launcher has cosmetic options already visible. Both will be essential against helicopters and armored trucks.
GTA 6 Melee Weapons and the Speargun
Melee is back in force. We’ve seen the baseball bat, crowbar, golf club, hammer, knife, and pool cue in various contexts. Fists obviously still work when things get personal.
The speargun is the interesting new addition. It’s clearly built for the expanded underwater sections. That alone tells me Rockstar wants players spending more time in the water than they did in GTA 5.
On top of that, tactical gear like zipties, immobilizer bypass tools, and tracker jammers sit in their own section of the weapon wheel. These aren’t guns, but they’re part of the same limited-carry system.
How the Weapon System Actually Works in GTA 6
The biggest shift isn’t the individual Grand Theft Auto 6 guns. It’s how you carry and use them.
- Limited satchel inventory with real carry weight — you won’t be running around with every weapon at once.
- Vehicle trunks act as extra storage, so planning ahead matters.
- A redesigned weapon wheel that feels faster and cleaner than the old one.
- Much better reload animations and gun handling across the board.
- NPCs actually react when you draw on them, which should make tense moments feel more alive.
- Full attachment support (suppressors, optics, flashlights, extended mags, stocks) plus finish and engraving options.
My Take on the GTA 6 Weapon Arsenal So Far
The GTA 6 weapons list feels focused without being limited. Rockstar isn’t just adding guns for the sake of it. They’re building around the new inventory rules and the Leonida setting, and the pre-order exclusives actually add personality instead of pure FOMO.
I’m most curious how the limited carry changes mission flow. Will players lean harder into vehicle trunks and planning, or will the weapon wheel still let you adapt on the fly? Either way, the guns themselves already look and sound like they belong in this world.
