NIKKE's 2026 Summer update introduces Cinderella: Crystal Wave, a Burst III Iron Pilgrim MG Attacker whose burst skill enhances her attacking capability, allowing her to deal powerful damage to multiple targets at once. Unlike the base Cinderella's single-target boss focus, Crystal Wave is built around a multi-target annihilation archetype, which makes her one of the most anticipated new limited Pilgrim units since Dorothy: Serendipity dropped last summer.
Cinderella: Crystal Wave belongs to the Pilgrim Faction like Red Hood, Nayuta, Dorothy, and the others. That said, it means she’s expected to have high firepower from her kit. If you are planning to pull for her on July 2, 2026, then this guide will cover everything you need to know, starting from her kit, gear priorities, team comps, and how to maximize her from day one.

Who Is Cinderella: Crystal Wave?
Cinderella: Crystal Wave
Cinderella: Crystal Wave debuts a beautiful new swimsuit prepared by Grave, it features a special gameplay mechanic that allows players to tap her standing pose to trigger a hidden black swimsuit. She is Burst III Attacker with the Iron Element and uses a machine gun, her Annihilation archetype possesses skills that are meant for dealing with multiple targets.
This is what makes her different from her base for that can only deal single-target bosses but struggles when it comes to a large group of enemies without any AOE support. Crystal Wave addresses that gap, that makes her a more campaign-viable version for many players who've always loved Cinderella's design but finds her lacking when wave-clearing. The story context is also compelling.
The new "Wave to You" event begins when the Commander receives a mysterious package containing an old photograph and a ticket to South Burst Island. What starts as a summer getaway turns into an unexpected adventure as secrets hidden beneath the island begin to emerge.
Cinderella: Crystal Wave Skills Breakdown
Since Crystal Wave launches July 2, full datamined skill numbers aren't yet public. However, from the livestream and early community analysis, here's what we know and can project based on base Cinderella's kit:
Skill 1 — HP-to-ATK Conversion (Expected)
Base Cinderella's Skill 1 doubles her ATK stat at Level 400, a Defender's base HP of roughly 2,483,759 multiplied by her conversion rate adds approximately 67,309 bonus ATK on top of her base 60,212, bringing her to around 127,521 ATK before external buffs, surpassing Attacker-class units at the same level.
Crystal Wave is expected to carry a similar HP-scaling mechanic given she shares the Defender classification and Pilgrim status. Max HP buffers like Rouge and Blanc will likely remain her best friends.
Skill 2 — Decoy Mechanic (Expected)
Base Cinderella gains a Max HP buff that stacks every 3 seconds as long as her decoy is standing — this buff does NOT expire even when the decoy is eventually destroyed and is permanent, taking 36 seconds to reach maximum stacks from the start of battle. Expect Crystal Wave to carry a similar survivability tool. This mechanic is what makes Cinderella builds nearly unkillable in sustained boss fights.
Burst Skill — Multi-Target Annihilation
This is where Crystal Wave diverges from her base form. Her Burst Skill enhances her attacking capability, allows her to deal powerful damage to multiple enemies. A direct contrast to base Cinderella's RNG single-target nuke.
If Crystal Wave's burst delivers reliable AOE while retaining the HP-scaling damage ceiling, she could simultaneously. dominate both the Campaign and Raid Content.
Burst Skill - Multi Target Annihilation
Best Build for Cinderella: Crystal Wave
Overload Gear Priority
The recommended approach for base Cinderella, is to prioritize Skill 1 and Burst to Level 10, build toward Elemental Damage and Max Ammo OL lines, and upgrade her boots and the rest of her kit comes together naturally. Crystal Wave should follow the same philosophy:
- Priority OL lines: Elemental Damage (Iron element for Crystal Wave) > Max Ammo > ATK or Max HP
- Boots: Upgrade first — they carry the most impactful stat rolls
- Avoid: Wasting rerolls on Charge Damage until offensive core lines are locked in
What Harmony Cube Should You Use?
Machine Guns technically have two "reloads" which is the actual Reload and the wind-up time. Resilience affects base reload time but not wind-up time, while Bastion and Wingman provide more firing uptime and therefore reduce the number of wind-up times needed in a match.
The primary recommendation for Crystal Wave is the Bastion Cube for maximum firing uptime. Resilience also works as a strong secondary option. Confused on which to use? Just pick whichever has the highest level between Resilience and Bastion, both perform nearly the same when compared at the same level.
Skill Investment Priority
- Skill 1: Level 10 (core damage source via HP-to-ATK conversion)
- Burst: Level 10 (primary AoE nuke)
- Skill 2: Level 4–7 (diminishing returns; save skill books)
Best Team Compositions
Boss Killing / Raid Team
| Slot | Nikke | Role |
B1 | Red Hood | ATK buffer + wave clear |
B2 | Crown | Ammo loop + damage amplifier |
B3 | Cinderella: Crystal Wave | Main DPS |
Flex | Rouge | Max HP buffer |
Flex | Liter | CDR + ATK buff |
When it comes to Rouge vs Liter, team DPS output is also similar, with Rouge having a slight lead. It means that Rouge isn't mandatory, using Liter if you don't have other options is perfectly fine as well.
Team for Campaign/Wave Clear Team
Given Crystal Wave's AoE burst skill, she should perform better than base Cinderella in Campaign. For electric-weak stages in Chapters 23+, including Mirror Container, Crystal Chamber, and Behemoth, pairing a strong Cinderella variant with electric-focused supports pays massive dividends. Build around:
- Anis: Sparkling Summer (Electric buffer)
- Ein (Electric support with true damage)
- Red Hood (burst gen + wave clean-up)
Some Tips when Playing Cinderella: Crystal Wave
- Ramp before bursting. Let her Decoy activate, and HP-to-ATK stacks build before triggering the burst window, where she hits hardest when fully ramped.
- Manual Rouge's charged shots early in a stage to guarantee her Max HP stacks are active before the key burst window hits.
- Don't skip skill books on Burst. Unlike base Cinderella, where Skill 2 is often deprioritized, Crystal Wave's burst is her main identity. Keep it at Level 10.
- Use her in Electric-weak content. Since four out of eleven stages after Chapter 23 are Electric-weak, an Iron Pilgrim MG Attacker equipped with Elemental Damage OL rolls can efficiently kill raptures even with a low deficit.
Cinderella: Crystal Wave Burst Animation
Conclusion
Cinderella: Crystal Wave will likely become one of the best-rounded Limited Pilgrim units NIKKE ever unveiled. She retains the HP-scaling damage ceiling of the base Cinderella, and on top of that, she owns a multi-target burst ability that made the players' lives quite difficult when they met the original version of Cinderella in Campaign. If you are a story chapter pusher, a raid boss clearer, or a player finally conquering that electric-weak chapter wall, Crystal Wave is a member of your team.
The Crown and Cinderella core is still the backbone of almost every competitive PvE team in 2026, and Crystal Wave just makes that base even better. Focus on her Skill 1 and Burst, gather Elemental and Max Ammo OL lines, and match her up with Rouge or Liter for a very strong team.
