Genshin Impact 7.2 Characters
Mitya (5★)
Mitya is a new 5★ Electro Catalyst character debuting in Phase 1 as a scientist of the Royal Energy Commission of Snezhnaya. He plays as an On-field DPS or as an Off-field Sub-DPS / Support, depending on which Detection Core state he uses, and he builds his playstyle around Gradient Beacons to power up the Stellar-Conduct reaction.
His Elemental Skill, Principle: Variable Detection, deals AoE Electro DMG and creates a Detection Core. A tap creates the Steady State Core, which follows enemies and gives the party Elemental Mastery for each beacon he holds. A hold creates the Overloaded Core, which unlocks his special Charged Attack, Gradient Detonation, where each beacon he spends deals Stellar-Conduct DMG.
His Elemental Burst, Analysis: Gradient Theory, deals AoE Electro DMG and creates 3 Gradient Beacons. His passive talent Stellar Jubilee: Top-Secret Protocol turns Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct for the whole party and raises their Stellar-Conduct DMG based on his Elemental Mastery.
With his tap-or-hold Detection Core, his beacon-based damage, and his key role in boosting Stellar-Conduct teams, Mitya looks set to be one of the most important characters introduced in Genshin Impact Version 7.2.
Valeriy (4★)
Valeriy is a new 4★ Electro Sword character debuting in Phase 1 as the commander of the Special Assignments Battalion, the elite guard of Snezhnaya’s Armory Palace. He plays as a dedicated Off-field Support who builds his playstyle around Impact Momentum and a strong Electro shield, using them to power up his team’s Electro and Stellar-Conduct damage.
His Elemental Skill, Active Defense: Bastion Charge, deals AoE Electro DMG, gives him 40 Impact Momentum, and puts up a Supercharged Shield that has 250% absorption efficiency against Electro DMG. His Elemental Burst, Focused Fire: Lightning Salvo, fires a Thunderburst Shell that breaks into a barrage of AoE Electro DMG, and his teammates’ Electro hits during the barrage give him even more Impact Momentum.
Once he has enough Impact Momentum, his Charged Attack becomes Direct-Fire Mortar: Point-Blank Bombardment, which gives him 15 stacks of Offensive Directive. Each stack raises the Electro DMG of the active character, and the bonus is even bigger on Stellar-Conduct DMG when he is in the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state inside a Polestar Field.
With his strong shield, his rotation of Skill, Burst, and Charged Attack, and his key role in boosting Electro Stellar-Conduct teams, Valeriy looks set to be a very useful addition to Genshin Impact Version 7.2.
