How the Eliminator Mode Works in Forza Horizon 6

How the Eliminator Mode Works

The Eliminator is a multiplayer battle royale game mode available for all players. Players can join the Eliminator match either by driving to the event location or selecting from the menu. Up to 72 players can join in one match. There is no level or car requirement to enter the matchmaking of the Eliminator. The game mode provides the same vehicle to every player at the start, so there is no advantage for any player. As the match begins, players can initiate the head-to-head events to defeat other players. Every defeated player gets eliminated from the match. As players progress through each stage and survive the shrinking arena, they advance to the Final Showdown. Whoever reaches the final location wins the Eliminator match. Arena, Head-to-Head Events, & Car Drops

Arena, Head-to-Head Events, & Car Drops

As the session for the Eliminator begins, all players get a few seconds to select their starting location. All players start at their picked location, before the arena starts to close to its first stage. However, if a player does not choose their starting location, the game puts them close to their reticule position.

As the match begins, the players can initiate the head-to-head events by being close to the other players. The quick way to initiate a one-on-one race is crossing the opponent in the wrong direction. You do not have to press any button. The head-to-head race will begin automatically. A marker will be set on the map at a random location, which you have to reach first before the opponent to win the race. After winning the race, you can choose the reward of either opponent’s car or increase the level of your car by 1. The maximum level of the car can go up to Level 10 in the match. For increasing every level, you will get a better car. A better car means better chances of winning the races.

Car Drop Mechanic

Speaking of better cars, there is a Car Drop mechanic in the Eliminator mode. These car drops are not marked on the map. However, they can be seen from a distance with a Pink Flare and a Drone. The car drop offers a random car that the player can exchange for their own. If you are looking for an advantage, finding a better car at the car drop can help you greatly. However, you have to be quick, as others might have the same idea.

All Stages in Eliminator

All Stages in Eliminator

There are a total of five stages in an Eliminator match. All of these stages are determined by the shrinking arena. After a few minutes of the match, the arena will begin to shrink to a set radius. Throughout the match, the arena will shrink to push all the players into one area. However, if a player is outside the arena, a timeout appears on the left side of the screen. They get 60 seconds to reach the arena, but the time is cumulative across all stages. It does not reset, so each player has 60 seconds in total for all the stages to get into the arena across all stages.

  • Stage 1: It begins shortly after all the players have spawned on the map. The shrinking rate of the arena is slower in this stage.
  • Stage 2: It begins after two minutes of Stage 1, and the ring shrinks to the projected area on the map.
  • Stage 3: It begins after 1 minute and forty-five seconds of Stage 2, and the ring shrinks swiftly to the projected area on the map.
  • Stage 4: It begins after 1 minute and thirty seconds of Stage 3, and the ring shrinks swiftly to the projected area on the map.
  • Final Showdown: A final warning appears to all players, and after 30 seconds, the final race begins among up to 12 players.

Final Showdown

Final Showdown

As the Final Showdown begins, every player gets the notification of the final race. During this phase, the head-to-head events are disabled. All the players have one goal: to reach the final marker first. The final marker for the Final Showdown is always random and outside the Stage 4 arena. As there is no confirmation of which direction the final marker will appear, most players guess and try to get a head start in a direction. If a player is correct, then they will have the most chances to cross the finish line than anyone else.

Conclusion

The Eliminator game mode is one of the returning modes in Forza Horizon 6. Players race against each other in a battle royale mode to be the last one standing. All players start with a Level 1 car, which they can upgrade either by finding a car drop or winning the head-to-head event. Winning the head-to-head races is a core mechanic in this mode. It allows you to steal the opposing player’s car or get a higher-level car. Survive through 4 stages by constantly defeating other players and reaching the final showdown. After that, race to the final location on the map and cross it first to become the Eliminator. Purchase the Forza Horizon 6 game key from LootBar to race against other players.
