Sharpened Spear 1 – Land 15 Counterattacks in 30 Seconds
Artifact Location
The first artifact is sitting on a pile of rocks right beside the road northwest of Haunted Hill. On the map it’s straight north of the big “A” in “Hernand,” near the Sanctum of Atonement. It’s one of the easiest to spot once you’re exploring the Hernand region.
How to Complete Sharpened Spear 1
Sharpened Spear 1 challenge gave me the most trouble at the start because I kept chasing single enemies. The real key is finding a big group and letting them come to you.
- Make sure Armed Combat is at least level 2 so you unlock Counter Stance (it’s spear-exclusive).
- Ride into any camp or patrol with 8–12+ enemies and just stand in the middle of them.
- Wait for incoming attacks and pop Counter Stance right before they land — the wide AoE counter will hit multiple targets at once.
- Higher difficulty actually helps here because the AI becomes more aggressive and gives you more parry opportunities inside the 30-second window.
Once I stopped running around and just let a pack swing at me, it clicked on the third try.

Sharpened Spear 2 – Hit Enemies 30 Times with a Spear in 30 Seconds
Artifact Location
Head east out of Hernand City and look for the Nas River Shrine on the small island right next to the Back Alley Shop (the shop where you can buy a mask). The artifact is sitting there in plain view.
How to Complete Sharpened Spear 2
Sharpened Spear 2 is much more straightforward once you understand the spear’s attack chain.
- The spear’s basic light attack is a rapid series of pokes, so each press racks up multiple hits very quickly.
- Ride straight into any mid-sized enemy camp with 8–10+ mobs so you don’t run out of targets before the timer ends.
- Just hold the light attack button while circling the group — you don’t need fancy combos.
- Occupied territories are the best spots because they usually have enough bodies clustered together.
I cleared this one on my first proper attempt once I stopped switching targets and just stayed on one dense pack.
Sharpened Spear 2 Rewards

Sharpened Spear 3 – Defeat 5 Enemies in 15 Seconds Using Stab
Artifact Location
This artifact is right by the side of the road just west of Hook Rapids, north of Hernand City. It’s a simple roadside pickup once you’re riding through that area.
How to Complete Sharpened Spear 3
The Stab move is performed with Shift + Right Mouse Button on PC. Only the killing blow needs to be a Stab for it to count.
- Soften enemies with normal combos first, then finish them off with Stab to stay inside the tight 15-second window.
- Find any group of 5–6 enemies and focus on burning them down quickly rather than trying to Stab everything from full health.
- Lowering the difficulty makes this much easier because enemies die faster to the final Stab.
- The timer is the real pressure here, so don’t waste time repositioning too much — stay aggressive once you start the fight.
- If you miss the window, just reset and try again with a slightly bigger group.
After a couple of failed attempts I realized I was overcomplicating it. Softening + final Stab was all it took.
Sharpened Spear 3 Rewards

Sharpened Spear 4 – Defeat 3 Enemies in 1 Minute Using Only Leap Attacks
Artifact Location
Ride northwest of Demeniss toward the Azerian Estate. The artifact is sitting just west of Flame Knight Castle on the side of the road at the intersection.
How to Complete Sharpened Spear 4
Leap attacks are any attack performed while you’re in the air. The game only checks that the killing blow is a leap attack.
- The jumping heavy attack does a big vertical sweep and feels perfect for finishing enemies mid-air.
- Aggro 3–4 enemies, then jump and heavy attack to land the killing blows one by one.
- You have a full minute, so there’s no need to rush — just make sure you’re actually airborne when the final hit connects.
- Use small ledges or slight elevation if you’re having trouble getting enough air time for the leap.
Sharpened Spear 4 felt the most fun once I got the rhythm of jumping in and finishing them off.

Sharpened Spear 5 – Defeat 5 Enemies Without Taking Damage at 100% Health
Artifact Location
The last artifact is right next to Bradenfern Farm, between the Hills of No Return and Drakesfall Gorge in the northeast part of the Hernand region.
How to Complete Sharpened Spear 5
There’s no timer on this one, which makes it much more manageable than the others.
- Use a strong opener like Blinding Flash Finisher (if unlocked) to quickly take out 2–3 enemies at the start.
- Then carefully pick off the remaining enemies one at a time while staying at full health.
- If you take even a single point of damage the challenge resets, so clear any ranged threats first and fight cautiously.
- Because there’s no time limit you can reset as many times as you need and take it slow.
- Kite enemies around and only engage when you have full control of the fight.
I actually found Sharpened Spear 5 relaxing once I stopped trying to rush it. Fighting one at a time and resetting on any hit made it straightforward.
