Hero Pets Overview
Pets in Clash of Clans attack or support on their own. You can quickly switch between pets before the fight begins. Once the upgrade completes, it can be used freely. I recommend upgrading your village to Town Hall 14 and building the Pet House. Doing so lets you gain more pets quickly. You can also choose to upgrade the Pet House to get access to more pets. Don’t forget to upgrade pets using the Elixir. Looking to top up Clash of Clans, LootBar offers the best deals that you don’t want to miss.
Best Hero Pet Tier List 2026
Choosing the best pet for your hero can make you powerful in combat. The best pet lets you dominate the enemies while fighting alongside you. Below is the best Pet Tier List in Clash of Clans.
Tier | Pet |
S Tier | Sneezy, Phoenix |
A Tier | Unicorn, Angry Jelly, Spirit Fox |
B Tier | Frosty, Greedy Raven, Diggy |
C Tier | Poison Lizard, Mighty Yak |
D Tier | L.A.S.S.I, Electro Owl |
S Tier
These Hero Pets are the best in the game till now due to their unique abilities and playstyle.
Sneezy
Sneezy is the best pet in our tier list because it supports its hero directly in combat. You can simply unlock this pet at Pet House Level 11. This pet can summon flying creatures called Boogers. It can fly and attack enemies. The best part is that Sneezy summons another Booger if the previous is destroyed somehow. Think of them as an extra tanks that protect your character from incoming damage. I recommend pairing Sneezy with Minion Prince and Grand Warden.
Phoenix
Phoenix is another best pet in S tier because it can revive you after getting knocked down. You can unlock this pet at Pet House Level 8. This pet begins as an egg in combat and keeps following the hero. Keep in mind that the egg cannot attack any enemy. Phoenix hatches and instantly revives the Hero when get defeated. You can use this time to attack buildings without taking damage. Phoenix doesn’t pair with every hero, so I recommend using it with Barbarian King, Royal Champion, or Minion Prince.
A Tier
Hero pets in this tier are also very powerful, but they have some limitations. Using them correctly can make them effective in fights.
Unicorn
The Unicorn is also a must-have pet because this one is your personal healer. You can unlock this pet after reaching Town Hall 14. This pet keeps following you and gives you HP when you take any damage in combat. The best part I like about the Unicorn is that it can heal both ground- and air-type Heroes. It stays closer to you and heals you after taking any damage. You don’t need to press any button to heal your character.
Angry Jelly
Angry Jelly is an excellent pet because it can change the attacking pattern of your character. You can simply unlock it at Pet House Level 10. Its unique ability forces you to prefer attacking the buildings. This pet also comes with long-range laser attacks. Not only this, but it can even support you by damaging the defense of enemies from a safer distance. One thing to note here is that Angry Jelly becomes a flying troop after you are knocked down.
Spirit Fox
Spirit Fox can be a game-changer in Clash of Clans because it becomes invisible during combat. You can unlock this pet after upgrading the Pet House to Level 9. This Spirit Walk ability of this pet can really change the combat result. The enemies can’t see this pet and stop attacking it. This allows Spirit Fox to attack the nearby enemies. You don’t need to press any button to activate this ability, as it activates automatically during combat. Both the Hero and Spirit Fox disappear from the enemy's sight when it triggers.
B Tier
B tier pets are powerful, but situational in Clash of Clans. This means you can’t use them in every situation.
Frosty
Frosty is an A-tier hero pet in our tier list because it can slow down enemy defenses. Use this pet to summon Frostmites and slow enemies. These creatures spawn near the enemy base and slow them down. This gives you enough time to use a powerful attack to defeat all enemies. I personally prefer this pet because it can attack both ground and air enemies with icy attacks.
Greedy Raven
Greedy Raven is a decent pet to choose for your hero because it can deal 5x normal damage to resource buildings. You can simply unlock it after upgrading the Pet House to Level 12. After you deploy it, it remains closer to you and provides ranged support. One thing to note here is that it basically avoids nearby buildings when resource buildings are available. The cool feature of Greedy Raven is that it stays in combat even when your character dies.
Diggy
Diggy is the last pet in B-tier and unlocks at Pet House Level 6 in Clash of Clans. This pet can stun defensive buildings when deployed. It can even travel underground and avoid walls. Diggy follows you by moving underground and supports you in combat. It mainly focuses on the building you’re attacking and avoids the others.
C Tier
These hero pets are not very effective and are only used in specific conditions. You can use them during the early game, but not during mid-game.
Poison Lizard
Poison Lizard can defeat waves of enemies by dealing poison damage. This poison effect deals damage over time and slows down the movement of enemies. This gives you enough time to eliminate them quickly. I recommend using this pet against Royal Champion and Clan Castle troops. You can even pair it with Archer Queen for ranged attack and poison damage. Keep in mind that you can’t use it in every condition, so prefer using it when you need poison effects.
Mighty Yak
Mighty Yak is another C-tier hero pet that can destroy the walls and move inside the enemy areas. You can unlock it at Pet House Level 3. Its unique ability, Wall Buster, deals massive damage to walls, letting you make new shortcuts. This pet uses its horns to deal additional damage to walls. Think of it as a path-making pet that creates new paths and avoids enemies. The best part of this pet is that it becomes more aggressive and gains additional speed when you die.
D Tier
These pets have less usage and can only be used when you have no other option at the moment.
L.A.S.S.I
This hero pet unlocks automatically when you build the Pet House Level 1 at Town Hall 14. This pet can easily jump over the walls and attack the enemies. L.A.S.S.I have the fastest movement speed and reaches the enemies quickly without letting them even react. The wall barriers in its path are nothing, just a simple jump.
Electro Owl
Electro Owl is a lower-tier pet in our hero tier list because it only provides ranged electric support. This pet can perform a chain lightning attack and hit the enemies. This cool feature about this pet is that it bounces once to a nearby enemy. Unlike other heroes, it attacks enemies that you are currently dealing with. The one thing that puts this pet in a lower tier is that it deals reduced damage to the second enemy.
Conclusion
Hero Pets are your best buddies that fight alongside you in Clash of Clans. They have a unique ability that can make a huge difference in combat. Sneezy and Phoenix are the best pets to choose for your hero due to their effective unique ability. They follow their assigned heroes and help them win fights and live longer. L.A.S.S.I and Electro Owl are D tier pets in our tier list due to their ineffective abilities.
